Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Administer medications safely and document all medication events accurately
• Perform routine assessments and monitor vital signs to catch changes early
• Assist residents with activities of daily living while promoting independence
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and follow care plans
• Maintain clear, timely charting in the facility record system
• Support infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
• Communicate empathetically with residents and families to build trust

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (eligible or active in New Mexico preferred)
• Valid basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification (or willingness to obtain quickly)
• Comfortable working in long-term care / skilled nursing environments
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Reliable, professional, and committed to excellent resident care

Education

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) program or equivalent vocational training

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Basic nursing assessments and charting
• Familiarity with infection control and safety standards
• Good time management and prioritization during busy shifts
• Comfortable using electronic health record systems
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and staff
