Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents at Casa Del Sol Center
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the care team
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to create meaningful care plans
• Assist with activities of daily living while promoting patient dignity and independence
• Maintain clear, timely charting in the facility’s documentation system
• Support a safe, clean environment and follow infection control standards

Qualifications

• Current LPN license (Licensed Practical Nurse) — state licensure required
• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required or willing to obtain
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN/LVN diploma or certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and basic clinical assessment
• Wound care and simple dressing changes
• Documentation and charting best practices
• Patient safety, infection control, and standard precautions
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time during a busy shift
• Friendly bedside manner and effective communication with patients and families
