Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care with clinical accuracy and a warm bedside manner
- Perform assessments, develop nursing plans, and document care clearly and promptly
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate excellent patient care
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
- Respond to changes in patient condition quickly and escalate when appropriate
- Contribute to a positive unit culture by mentoring colleagues and sharing best practices
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland (compact license holders encouraged to apply)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced certifications such as ACLS or PALS are a plus
- Previous acute care or relevant clinical experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively on a collaborative team
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and critical thinking to prioritize patient needs
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Infection control and patient safety principles
- Effective patient and family education techniques
- Time management and ability to handle a fast-paced environment
