Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff
• Follow care plans and document observations accurately and timely
• Support safe mobility and fall prevention measures for geriatric patients
• Contribute to a calm, respectful environment that supports resident well-being

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) in good standing
• Basic life support (BLS) certification preferred or obtainable upon hire
• Comfortable working night shift hours and providing hands-on geriatric care
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a care team
• Passion for working with older adults and commitment to patient-centered care

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and safe patient transfers
• Able to chart accurately and communicate observations to the interdisciplinary team
• Familiarity with infection control practices and resident safety protocols
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
