Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to older adults, ensuring dignity and respect
• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
• Take and record vital signs and observe residents for changes in condition
• Support safe mobility and fall prevention, using proper transfer techniques
• Document care accurately and communicate changes to the nursing team
• Help maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families, offering emotional support

Qualifications

• GNA certification or equivalent required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required by facility
• State certification or registry in good standing
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen
• Up-to-date immunizations as required by the facility
• Experience working with older adults preferred, but caring attitude and strong work ethic matter most

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• GNA or CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of geriatric care principles and senior-focused approaches
• Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence
• Basic clinical skills such as vital signs, charting, and infection control
• Safe resident handling and mobility support
• Good time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
• Team player who collaborates well with nurses, therapists, and support staff

You will be based in Baltimore, a city with a lively waterfront and plenty to explore on days off.
