Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents at Casa Del Sol Center
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely per orders
• Assess and monitor patient status; promptly report changes to the care team
• Document resident care clearly and timely in the electronic charting system
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
• Support resident comfort and dignity through person-centered care and communication
• Participate in shift handoffs and contribute to a positive team environment

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing (required)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working with adult/geriatric populations (long-term care experience is a plus)
• Strong clinical judgment, reliable attendance, and a professional attitude
• Ability to pass facility background checks and required screenings

Education

• Vocational nursing diploma or equivalent (LPN program completion)

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and safe charting practices
• Vital signs assessment and basic patient monitoring
• Wound care fundamentals and pressure injury prevention
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation
• Clear, compassionate communication with residents and families
• Teamwork, time management, and the ability to prioritize care tasks
