Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and feeding
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team
• Collaborate with nurses and care staff to deliver individualized care plans
• Document care and observations accurately and promptly in resident records
• Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control practices
• Engage residents with respect and empathy to promote wellbeing and independence

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — PA certification preferred or eligible to obtain
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfortable assisting with transfers, mobility, and personal care tasks
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Proof of required immunizations and background checks as required by facility

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care and safety procedures
• Infection prevention and hand hygiene practices
• Safe lifting and transfer techniques
• Clear documentation and reporting of resident status
• Compassionate communication with residents, families, and care team
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
