Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents in the facility
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
• Perform timely patient assessments and document changes in condition
• Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
• Support resident comfort and dignity through personalized care plans
• Communicate clearly with residents and families about care and progress
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and care transitions as needed

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in New Mexico (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required
• Previous LPN experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and facility onboarding requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN / practical nursing program or vocational nursing diploma

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation accuracy
• Skilled in resident assessment, vital signs, and basic wound care
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and charting
• Strong infection control practices and attention to safety
• Good communication with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced care setting
