Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents, ensuring dignity and comfort
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document according to policy
• Monitor, record, and report changes in patient condition to nursing leadership
• Perform routine assessments and support care planning to improve resident outcomes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate excellent care
• Keep clear, timely clinical documentation in the facility charting system
• Support infection control practices and maintain a safe environment for residents

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing — New Mexico licensure required or eligible
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required by facility
• Comfort with direct resident care in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting
• Strong communication skills and a teamwork-focused attitude

Education

• Vocational Nursing diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved LPN program
• Active LPN licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in medication administration and basic clinical procedures
• Familiarity with vital signs monitoring, wound care fundamentals, and ADL support
• Proficient documentation and charting practices; attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time in a fast-paced care environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and care teams
