Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the assigned unit
• Assess and monitor patients' conditions, documenting changes clearly and promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with policies
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and update care plans
• Respond to patient emergencies and escalate appropriately
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Accurately document care and interventions in the electronic health record

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license (RN) — ability to obtain or hold New Mexico licensure strongly preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Previous acute care nursing experience preferred (travel experience a plus)
• Strong clinical assessment skills and effective communication with patients and team members
• Ability to complete required facility onboarding and compliance requirements promptly

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in patient assessment, medication administration, and IV therapy
• Comfortable with basic and advanced cardiac monitoring and recognizing clinical changes
• Experience with electronic health records and clear, timely documentation
• Excellent critical thinking, prioritization, and time management skills
• Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal and patient-education abilities
