Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents at Casa Del Sol Center
• Perform thorough assessments and monitor changes in condition, escalating concerns promptly
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely following facility protocols
• Document care in the electronic medical record clearly and in a timely manner
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to create and follow individualized care plans
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery, comfort, and understanding
• Respond effectively to emergencies and participate in clinical improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or a Compact RN license
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS or specialty certifications are a plus
• Comfortable working night shift hours and thriving in fast-paced care settings
• Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset
• Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or Nursing diploma; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and critical thinking to prioritize patient needs
• Safe medication administration and IV skills
• Proficient documentation and charting in electronic medical records
• Infection control best practices and patient safety focus
• Excellent interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and the care team
• Time management and the ability to manage multiple priorities during a shift
