Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during the night shift
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document clinical changes accurately
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with policies
• Monitor and interpret vital signs and communicate significant findings promptly
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care plans
• Respond effectively to emergencies and ensure patient safety at all times
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and support smooth shift handoffs

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in New Mexico or a valid compact license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications a plus
• Prior acute care nursing experience preferred
• Ability to pass required background checks and immunization screenings
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset

Education

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and critical thinking
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems
• Infection control and patient safety protocols
• Effective team collaboration and patient/family education
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
