Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality bedside care to residents at Casa Del Sol Center
• Administer medications and document according to policy and scope of practice
• Perform regular patient assessments and report changes promptly to the care team
• Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, and interdisciplinary staff to develop and follow care plans
• Assist with wound care, ADLs, and safe patient transfers while promoting dignity
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Support a positive resident experience through clear communication and empathy

Qualifications

• Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico or compact state license where applicable
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar clinical setting preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills and comfort with medication administration
• Ability to pass required background checks and pre-employment screenings

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent diploma

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in medication administration and accurate documentation
• Knowledgeable in basic wound care, vital signs, and ADL support
• Comfortable using electronic health record systems and charting
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with residents and families
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and respond to changing clinical needs
