Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents in the facility
• Perform assessments, monitor vital signs, and communicate changes promptly to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members to support safe transitions and outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely charting in the facility electronic health record
• Support resident independence and dignity while following facility policies and clinical guidelines
• Participate in shift handoffs and provide clear, concise communication to the next team

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license (eligible to practice in New Mexico) required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or equivalent
• Previous long-term care, rehab, or acute care experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working independently during night shifts and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team

Education

• LPN: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
• RN: Graduate of an accredited associate or baccalaureate nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nursing assessment and documentation best practices
• Medication administration and safe handling procedures
• Infection prevention and control standards
• Ability to use electronic health records and charting systems
• Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills
• Time management and the ability to multitask during busy shifts
