Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents at Casa Del Sol Center
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document them clearly and accurately
• Perform routine assessments and monitor changes in resident condition, escalating concerns promptly
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and follow individualized care plans
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and support independence and dignity
• Maintain accurate, timely charting in the electronic health record and follow facility policies
• Promote a safe, clean environment and practice infection prevention procedures

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain state licensure
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but dedicated, eager clinicians are welcome
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills

Education

• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program (LPN diploma or certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and careful documentation
• Basic wound care and routine clinical procedures
• Proficient in taking and interpreting vital signs and performing focused assessments
• Comfortable using electronic health records and standard clinical documentation
• Good infection control practices and patient safety awareness
• Empathy, patient advocacy, and clear family communication
