Albuquerque is a fantastic base for a travel assignment: explore Old Town’s shops and Southwestern flavors, hike or take the Sandia Tram up to stunning vistas, stroll along the Rio Grande bosque, visit the Albuquerque Museum and the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, and enjoy nearby day trips to Santa Fe or the Petroglyph National Monument. If you’re here in October, the Balloon Fiesta is an unforgettable experience — but the outdoor adventures and local chile-infused cuisine are great year-round.
