Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, compassionate nursing care to residents at Casa Del Sol Center
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
• Perform patient assessments and document changes in condition clearly
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and follow care plans
• Support residents with daily living activities while promoting dignity and independence
• Communicate effectively with families and team members to ensure coordinated care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the facility’s record system

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (New Mexico preferred or compact/reciprocity where applicable)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Relevant clinical experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN diploma or certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medication administration and basic nursing procedures
• Skilled in patient assessment and recognizing changes in condition
• Comfortable with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Infection prevention and control practices
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time during a busy evening shift
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong teamwork skills
