Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to residents including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team in a timely manner
• Support safe transfers and repositioning to promote comfort and prevent injury
• Assist with meal service and document intake and output accurately
• Maintain a clean, respectful environment and follow infection control best practices
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver personalized care plans
• Build rapport with residents and families, bringing dignity and kindness to every interaction

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Active state CNA license for Pennsylvania or ability to obtain quickly
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar healthcare setting preferred
• Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed approved CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care skills including ADLs and mobility assistance
• Knowledge of basic infection control and safe patient handling
• Comfortable with charting and following care plans
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced care environment
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong observational skills
• Teamwork and collaboration with nursing staff and allied health professionals
