Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting with dignity and respect
- Provide compassionate bedside care and support to improve residents’ comfort and well-being
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ conditions to nursing staff to ensure timely intervention
- Support medication administration workflows by communicating accurately with the care team
- Document resident care and observations clearly and timely in accordance with facility policies
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to create a positive care environment
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and respectful living space for all residents
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification or equivalent in the state of Maryland
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Successful completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and license/certificate verification
- Ability to pass fit test, Trinity 10-panel drug screen, and required immunizations (COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap)
- 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/T-spot) required
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is preferred but not required
- Good communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing principles and infection control practices
- Skill in safe resident handling and mobility assistance
- Familiarity with documentation practices and charting resident care
- Ability to work effectively on a rotating shift schedule and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team
- Strong observational skills to detect changes in resident condition
