Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care in an assisted living/long-term care setting
- Perform clinical assessments and create care plans that prioritize safety and quality of life
- Administer medications and treatments accurately, following facility protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate resident care and transitions
- Document care thoroughly and timely in the resident record system
- Support residents with activities of daily living and promote independence
- Respond promptly to changes in resident condition and escalate concerns appropriately
- Participate in competency testing and training to maintain high standards of care
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) registration (license verification required)
- BLS certification required
- Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) and Assisted Living (AL) preferred
- Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing as required
- Fit test and respirator evaluation as part of compliance requirements
- Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings (2-step PPD or IGRA, MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap, influenza, COVID-19 as required)
- Successful Trinity 10-panel drug screen and physical/health statement
Education
- Active RN licensure (required)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Medication administration and documentation proficiency
- Knowledge of LTC/assisted living regulations and best practices
- Infection control and resident safety practices
- Effective communication with residents, families, and care teams
- Ability to work independently in a per diem pool and adapt to different teams
- Compassionate approach to dementia care and geriatric nursing needs
