Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and mobility
• Take and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe transfers and maintain a clean, comfortable environment
• Document care accurately and communicate effectively with nurses and families
• Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to residents
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification for the state of practice
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Comfort working in a team, following care plans and communicating clearly
• Previous experience as a CNA is helpful; enthusiastic new CNAs are encouraged to apply

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed approved CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care fundamentals and safe transfer techniques
• Basic vital signs measurement and observation skills
• Infection control practices and proper use of PPE
• Clear, compassionate communication with residents and care teams
• Basic charting and documentation; willingness to learn facility systems
• Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
