Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and daily living assistance to residents
• Assist nursing staff with vital signs, hygiene, mobility, and meal support
• Document resident observations and changes clearly and promptly
• Support safe transfers and use of mobility aids to reduce fall risk
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through consistent care
• Follow infection control and facility policies to maintain a safe environment

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in the state of Maine or ability to obtain prior to start
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass TB screening and background check
• Reliable, compassionate approach and ability to work as part of a care team
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred but not required

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved CNA program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable with resident personal care, transfers, and feeding assistance
• Strong communication skills for working with residents, families, and nurses
• Basic charting and documentation skills with attention to detail
• Ability to follow care plans and accept direction from licensed nursing staff
• Good time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
