Registered Nurse - Rehab
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift (NOC), 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM, nights (days of week vary and will be confirmed with scheduling)
Hours per Week: 38
Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to rehab patients, focusing on safety and functional recovery
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely according to orders
- Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
- Support and coach patients through therapy activities to maximize rehabilitation outcomes
- Document patient care, progress, and interventions in the electronic health record clearly and promptly
- Collaborate with therapists, physicians, and support staff to implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on condition management, discharge planning, and home care needs
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and uphold facility standards and infection control practices
Qualifications
- Active RN or LPN license in New Mexico (RN preferred for this posting)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained upon hire
- Previous experience in rehab, med-surg, or long-term care preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
- Comfort working night shifts and collaborating with diverse care teams
- Professional attitude, excellent communication skills, and patient-centered focus
Education
- LPN: Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (diploma or certificate)
- RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of rehab nursing principles and restorative care
- Skill in medication administration, wound care, and basic IV/line management as applicable
- Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate charting
- Ability to prioritize, triage, and respond calmly in urgent situations
- Strong teamwork, communication, and patient/family education skills
