Shift Type: Night shift, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM (12.5-hour shift with 30-minute meal; specific days to be scheduled)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care during overnight shifts
• Administer medications, IVs, and treatments safely and accurately
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings clearly
• Develop and update individualized care plans in collaboration with the care team
• Respond to patient needs and emergencies calmly and efficiently
• Communicate effectively with physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Support and mentor other staff and travelers to promote best practices

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license (RN) — LPNs are also considered for LPN-designated roles
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willing to obtain)
• Previous experience in acute care, rehabilitation, or similar nursing setting preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
• Ability to work independently overnight and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Willingness to complete facility orientation and mandatory trainings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nursing fundamentals, patient assessment, and medication administration
• Familiarity with common clinical equipment and protocols on medical-surgical/rehab units
• Accurate clinical documentation and charting skills
• Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills
• Time management and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
