Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM (12.5-hour shift with 30-minute meal; specific days to be scheduled)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care during overnight shifts
- Administer medications, IVs, and treatments safely and accurately
- Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings clearly
- Develop and update individualized care plans in collaboration with the care team
- Respond to patient needs and emergencies calmly and efficiently
- Communicate effectively with physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
- Support and mentor other staff and travelers to promote best practices
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license (RN) — LPNs are also considered for LPN-designated roles
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willing to obtain)
- Previous experience in acute care, rehabilitation, or similar nursing setting preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
- Ability to work independently overnight and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Willingness to complete facility orientation and mandatory trainings
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of nursing fundamentals, patient assessment, and medication administration
- Familiarity with common clinical equipment and protocols on medical-surgical/rehab units
- Accurate clinical documentation and charting skills
- Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills
- Time management and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
