Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults in a rehab/acute setting
• Administer medications, treatments and document accurately in the medical record
• Assess and monitor patient condition, promptly reporting changes to the care team
• Collaborate with therapists, physicians and interdisciplinary staff to support recovery goals
• Assist with admissions, discharges and safe patient transfers
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications and discharge instructions
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, safety protocols and infection control standards

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse license in New Mexico or compact multistate RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred or available
• Clinical experience in acute care, rehabilitation or similar settings preferred
• Strong assessment, medication administration and charting skills
• Ability to pass facility onboarding, background check and any credentialing requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) or equivalent for RN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and critical thinking
• Medication administration and safe documentation
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
• Wound care and basic procedures commonly used in rehab settings
• Clear communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff
• Time management and prioritization during overnight shifts
