Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients on overnight shifts
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Monitor patient status, assess changes, and escalate concerns promptly
• Document patient care thoroughly in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with therapists, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to support patient recovery
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in New Mexico (compact license accepted if applicable)
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Previous LPN/RN experience in rehabilitation, acute care, or related setting preferred
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass facility-required health screenings
• Comfortable working overnight 12+ hour shifts and providing consistent patient care

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy familiarity
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation best practices
• Knowledge of safety protocols, infection control, and patient mobility/transfer techniques
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-education skills
