Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and compassion
• Take and document vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Provide attentive, person-centered care that promotes comfort and quality of life
• Document care and observations clearly in the patient record to support team communication
• Collaborate with nurses and the care team to meet individualized care plans
• Observe and report changes in resident condition promptly, advocating for their needs

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification
• Eligible to work in NH/VT or hold the appropriate state LNA credential
• Prior experience as a nursing assistant is preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background and health screenings per facility policy
• Strong interpersonal skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved nursing assistant training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of basic nursing assistant duties and resident care
• Skilled in taking vital signs and documenting observations
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Infection control practices and proper PPE use
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time during a busy shift
