Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility with compassion and respect
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes promptly to the nursing team
• Provide safe, dignified personal care while promoting independence whenever possible
• Support the care team by assisting with transfers, toileting, feeding, and positioning
• Communicate clearly with nurses, families, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure coordinated care
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow facility policies for infection control and resident safety

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential valid in Pennsylvania
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Comfort working night shift hours and providing hands-on resident care
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; traveler-friendly mindset welcomed

Education

• High school diploma or GED and completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven knowledge of ADLs, safe patient handling, and basic infection control
• Skill in taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Comfortable working in long-term care or skilled nursing settings
• Ability to follow care plans and communicate observations clearly
• Compassionate approach to resident-centered care and dignity preservation
