Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy assessments and interventions to promote patient independence
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on functional goals and evidence-based practice
• Deliver therapeutic activities focused on ADLs, mobility, adaptive equipment, and return-to-function
• Monitor patient progress and document outcomes clearly and timely in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
• Educate patients and families on home programs, safety strategies, and adaptive techniques
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapist (OT/OTR) license in Nevada or ability to obtain state licensure
• Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program
• Active professional liability insurance (or ability to obtain)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Strong communication and documentation skills and a team-first attitude
• Prior experience in inpatient rehabilitation or skilled nursing settings is a plus

Education

• Master's or entry-level Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (OTR)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in evaluating functional performance and identifying meaningful treatment goals
• Proficient with ADL training, therapeutic activities, mobility and adaptive equipment
• Comfortable with clinical documentation and electronic medical records
• Ability to prioritize caseloads, manage time, and multitask effectively
• Strong patient education and family coaching abilities
• Collaborative approach to working with nurses, PTs, SLPs, and case management
