Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to residents and patients on the night shift
• Perform medication administration, treatments, and thorough documentation
• Monitor patient status and promptly escalate changes to the care team
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to ensure continuity of care
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed
• Support a positive patient experience through respectful communication and advocacy

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license in good standing; Delaware licensure preferred or ability to obtain
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings is preferred
• Current immunizations and ability to meet facility screening requirements
• Strong clinical judgment, time management, and teamwork skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN) or accredited nursing program for RNs
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Wound care basics and monitoring for clinical changes
• Comfortable with electronic health record charting
• Ability to triage and prioritize tasks during a busy night shift
• Clear verbal and written communication with patients, families, and staff
