Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting
- Assess patients, document changes, and develop nursing plans of care
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate resident care
- Communicate with families and providers with compassion and clarity
- Monitor vitals and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Support a positive, person-centered care culture that improves outcomes
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered RN license for the state of Delaware (or compact RN) required
- LPN candidates with appropriate state license may be considered for LPN opportunities
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS or other certifications a plus
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, reliable documentation skills, and teamwork mindset
Education
- RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- LPN: Completed accredited practical nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Skilled in patient assessment, wound care, and IV/med pass procedures
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with residents and families
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
