Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults in the assigned unit
• Perform thorough assessments and document findings clearly and accurately
• Administer medications and treatments safely following facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and update care plans
• Educate patients and families to support recovery and promote health
• Advocate for patient needs and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN licensure (Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse) — must be eligible to work in North Carolina
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Clinical experience in medical-surgical or long-term care preferred
• Ability to pass required background checks and credentialing for a travel assignment
• Flexible, team-oriented attitude and strong communication skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program for LPN candidates or an accredited ADN/BSN program for RN candidates

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and focused documentation
• Medication administration and IV/PO knowledge appropriate to licensure
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and respond calmly in busy situations
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork with nursing peers and providers
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and basic computer skills
