Shift Type: Days, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with rotating weekends (day shift)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $40 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate respiratory care and therapy to patients across acuity levels
- Perform assessments, develop and implement respiratory treatment plans
- Administer and manage oxygen, aerosolized medications, and ventilator support
- Monitor patient progress and document clinical responses clearly and promptly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, equipment use, and discharge plans
Qualifications
- Current Respiratory Therapist license in Rhode Island or eligibility to obtain one
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) preferred
- BLS required; ACLS and other specialty credentials a plus
- Comfortable with ventilator management and a variety of respiratory modalities
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a collaborative team
- Previous clinical experience in respiratory care preferred
Education
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field (preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in respiratory assessment and therapeutic interventions
- Familiar with ventilator settings, troubleshooting, and pulmonary diagnostics
- Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
- Proficient documentation and electronic charting skills
- Ability to educate patients and caregivers in a clear, supportive way
