Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care including assessment, treatment, and monitoring of patients with cardiopulmonary conditions
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilators and specialized respiratory equipment with confidence
• Perform arterial blood gas sampling and interpret results to guide therapy
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care plans, home therapies, and equipment use
• Document patient status, treatments, and outcomes accurately and timely in the medical record
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Therapist licensure for New Hampshire (CRT or RRT) required or eligible
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Previous clinical respiratory therapy experience preferred (1+ years recommended)
• Strong clinical assessment skills and experience with ventilator management
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Willingness to participate in required rotations, including night shifts when scheduled

Education

• Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program
• CRT or RRT preferred; Bachelor’s degree a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ventilator management and respiratory modalities
• Proficient with arterial blood gas sampling and interpretation
• Knowledgeable in oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and airway management
• Comfortable with electronic medical record documentation
• Strong patient education and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced clinical setting
