Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire the rehabilitation team to deliver exceptional patient-centered care
- Develop, implement, and evaluate rehab programs that improve clinical outcomes
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and performance management for the department
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans
- Monitor department budget, resource allocation, and operational efficiency
- Coach and mentor clinicians to support professional growth and clinical excellence
- Track outcomes and drive quality improvement initiatives to advance patient recovery
Qualifications
- Current, active state license as a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist (required)
- Proven leadership experience in a rehabilitation setting, preferably as a manager or director
- Experience with regulatory compliance, documentation standards, and quality initiatives
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead teams and interact with stakeholders
- Familiarity with budgeting, staffing, and operational oversight in a clinical environment
- Excellent clinical judgment and the ability to translate clinical best practices into program design
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or related field (required)
- Master's degree or advanced training in a related field preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of rehab clinical protocols and therapeutic modalities
- Ability to manage clinical staff, schedules, and performance evaluations
- Skilled in interdisciplinary collaboration and patient-centered care planning
- Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation standards
- Understanding of Medicare, regulatory requirements, and quality metrics
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills
