Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, hands-on care as a Physical Therapist Assistant to help patients regain mobility and independence
• Implement individualized treatment plans under PT direction and document patient progress clearly and timely
• Use therapeutic exercises, modalities, and functional activities to meet patient goals
• Collaborate closely with therapists, nurses, and the care team to provide coordinated care
• Educate patients and families on home programs, safety, and strategies to maintain gains
• Maintain equipment, ensure a safe treatment environment, and adhere to facility protocols

Qualifications

• Current Florida PTA license or eligibility to obtain state PTA licensure
• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Strong patient communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Previous clinical or long-term care experience preferred but new grads encouraged to apply

Education

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise progression and functional mobility training
• Knowledge of documentation best practices and treatment planning
• Ability to follow PT-established plans of care and modify interventions as directed
• Comfortable with patient transfers, gait training, and use of assistive devices
• Good time management, organization, and interpersonal communication
