Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction of the supervising PT to help patients regain mobility and independence
• Implement individualized care plans and document progress clearly and timely
• Assist with patient transfers, gait training, therapeutic exercises, and use of assistive devices
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members and patients' families to support coordinated care
• Contribute to a safe, respectful environment by following infection control and facility policies
• Participate in continuing learning and team meetings to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current PTA license or certification (Washington license preferred or eligible to obtain)
• Experience or comfort working in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
• Strong documentation skills and basic familiarity with electronic medical records
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

• Associate Degree in Physical Therapist Assisting or equivalent accredited program completion

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of therapeutic exercise principles and common rehabilitation techniques
• Skilled in transfers, gait training, balance and mobility interventions
• Ability to follow care plans and modify treatments per PT directives
• Clear communication with patients, families, and clinical team members
• Good time management and organization for efficient treatment sessions and documentation
