Perm Respiratory Therapist
Location: Coventry, RI
Contract Type: Perm
Shift Type: 3 days/week, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM Day shift (3 x 12-hour day shifts; approximately 35 hours/week)
Hours per Week: 38
Candidate Pay Rate: $40 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality respiratory care and therapies to patients across the facility
- Assess patient respiratory status and implement appropriate interventions
- Operate and manage respiratory equipment safely and effectively
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update care plans
- Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and home care needs
- Document assessments, treatments, and patient progress in the medical record accurately
Qualifications
- Certification or credentialing in respiratory care (CRT or RRT preferred)
- Current Rhode Island respiratory care license or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications a plus
- Comfortable with ventilator management and common respiratory equipment
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Prior experience in respiratory therapy preferred
Education
- Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field (or equivalent clinical training)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven knowledge of respiratory therapy procedures and protocols
- Skilled in airway management, oxygen therapy, and ventilator support
- Ability to assess respiratory function and interpret diagnostic data
- Familiarity with patient documentation and electronic medical records
- Good clinical judgment and infection-control practices
