Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered therapeutic interventions under the direction of a licensed PT to help patients regain function
• Implement individualized treatment plans and adjust care based on patient progress
• Document patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely
• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and other team members to coordinate excellent care
• Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, safe mobility techniques, and injury prevention
• Maintain equipment, ensure treatment area safety, and promote a supportive patient environment

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Maryland or eligible for Maryland licensure
• Active BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain upon hire)
• Comfortable working in a post-acute/rehab setting with varied patient needs
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Prior PTA experience in inpatient or outpatient rehab preferred

Education

• Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant or related accredited program
• Completion of required clinical/fieldwork experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of therapeutic exercise, gait training, transfers, and mobility devices
• Skilled in patient assessment, safe manual handling, and activity progression
• Proficient documentation skills and familiar with electronic medical records
• Ability to instruct patients and caregivers clearly and compassionately
• Good time management, organization, and teamwork abilities
