Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day, no weekend rotation)
Hours per Week: 43
Candidate Pay Rate: $28 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver skilled physical therapy treatments and assist patients in achieving mobility and functional goals
- Implement treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist
- Monitor and document patient progress clearly and accurately in the medical record
- Provide safe gait training, transfers, and therapeutic exercises with attention to fall prevention
- Educate patients and families on home programs and disease-specific strategies to support recovery
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain equipment, ensure a safe treatment environment, and follow facility policies
Qualifications
- Current or eligible PTA licensure in Maine (or ability to obtain licensure)
- Associate Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant or equivalent
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
- Prior experience in rehabilitation or outpatient/inpatient therapy preferred
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Associate Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Therapeutic exercise prescription and progression
- Gait training, transfers, and mobility assistance techniques
- Familiarity with modalities commonly used in rehab settings
- Accurate clinical documentation and comfort with electronic health records
- Patient education, safety assessment, and fall prevention strategies
- Teamwork, time management, and clinical problem solving
