Shift Type: Any 5 days (40 hours/week), 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day shift) with rotating weekends; possible float
Hours per Week: 43
Candidate Pay Rate: $28 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide skilled occupational therapy services under the supervision of an OT to help patients regain independence in daily activities
- Implement individualized treatment plans focused on functional goals and meaningful outcomes
- Document patient progress clearly and timely in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and caregivers on techniques, adaptive equipment, and home programs to support long-term independence
- Adapt interventions to meet the changing needs of patients and safely manage caseloads when floating between areas
Qualifications
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required
- Current ability to work in Massachusetts (state licensure or eligibility preferred)
- P-OTA classification listed as primary — pediatric OTA experience or interest is a plus
- BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Previous experience in a rehab, skilled nursing, or related setting preferred (1+ year encouraged)
- Reliable, flexible schedule with ability to work rotating weekends and float as needed
Education
- Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant or related field (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of occupational therapy principles, ADL retraining, and adaptive techniques
- Skilled in implementing treatment plans and tracking functional progress
- Comfortable with therapeutic equipment and assistive devices
- Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities with patients, families, and staff
- Able to prioritize, manage time well, and adapt during float assignments
