Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in delivering individualized treatment plans that help patients regain mobility and independence
• Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions and supervise therapeutic exercises with compassion and safety
• Document patient progress clearly and timely, ensuring accurate records that inform care decisions
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, safe transfers, and injury prevention
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain treatment areas and equipment, ensuring a safe and professional environment

Qualifications

• Current and active North Carolina Physical Therapist Assistant license (required)
• Graduation from an accredited PTA program
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Previous experience as a PTA preferred; new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome to apply
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-focused environment

Education

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of therapeutic exercise techniques and mobility training
• Proficient in patient assessment, treatment documentation, and care planning
• Ability to adapt treatments to meet individual patient needs and goals
• Familiarity with safety protocols, infection control, and equipment use
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration
