Contract Type: Perm
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day shift), 35 hours/week, no weekend rotation
Hours per Week: 43
Candidate Pay Rate: $28 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physical therapists in delivering individualized treatment plans that help patients regain mobility and independence
- Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions and supervise therapeutic exercises with compassion and safety
- Document patient progress clearly and timely, ensuring accurate records that inform care decisions
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, safe transfers, and injury prevention
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain treatment areas and equipment, ensuring a safe and professional environment
Qualifications
- Current and active North Carolina Physical Therapist Assistant license (required)
- Graduation from an accredited PTA program
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Previous experience as a PTA preferred; new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome to apply
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-focused environment
Education
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of therapeutic exercise techniques and mobility training
- Proficient in patient assessment, treatment documentation, and care planning
- Ability to adapt treatments to meet individual patient needs and goals
- Familiarity with safety protocols, infection control, and equipment use
- Strong interpersonal skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration
