Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess clients’ speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing abilities using evidence-based tools
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that improve communication and quality of life
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care
• Document progress clearly and timely to support clinical decision-making and continuity of care
• Provide training and education to caregivers and staff to reinforce therapeutic goals
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, patient-centered culture

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina license or eligible for NC licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or actively working toward
• Experience working with pediatric and/or adult populations in clinical or school-based settings preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with patients, families, and staff
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain

Education

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in standardized and informal assessment techniques
• Skilled in developing measurable, functional therapy goals
• Knowledge of evidence-based therapy approaches for speech, language and swallowing
• Experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies
• Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health records
• Ability to collaborate effectively in an interdisciplinary care team
