Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality occupational therapy assessment and interventions for patients in the facility
• Develop individualized treatment plans focused on meaningful functional goals
• Monitor and document patient progress thoroughly and communicate changes to the care team
• Collaborate with nurses, PTs, SLPs, and other staff to create coordinated care plans
• Educate patients and caregivers on techniques and adaptive strategies to maximize independence
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapist license in North Carolina or eligibility to obtain state licensure
• Entry-level to experienced clinicians welcome; strong clinical reasoning and patient-centered skills
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Ability to pass required background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Comfortable with documentation in electronic health records and working in an interdisciplinary setting

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (or accredited entry-level OT degree)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in standardized and functional OT assessments
• Strong treatment planning for ADLs, mobility, and adaptive equipment use
• Excellent communication and teaching skills for patients and caregivers
• Knowledge of safety, fall prevention, and adaptive equipment recommendations
• Proficient documentation practices and outcome tracking
• Collaborative team player who contributes to problem solving and care coordination
