Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities
• Develop individualized treatment plans that set measurable goals and track progress
• Provide evidence-based therapy interventions and adjust approaches based on patient response
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and care teams to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
• Document clinical findings and progress in a timely, professional manner
• Educate patients and families on strategies to support communication and swallowing safety
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to advocate for patients' functional goals

Qualifications

• Active state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist (required)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Experience with adult populations, including assisted living or rehabilitation settings, is a plus
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to complete documentation and meet regulatory standards

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in clinical evaluation of speech, language, cognition, and swallowing
• Knowledge of evidence-based intervention strategies and outcome measurement
• Proficient in clinical documentation and electronic health record systems
• Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary care team
• Strong patient and family education skills
