Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients and design individualized physical therapy plans that get people moving and back to life
• Deliver evidence-based interventions including mobility, gait training, strengthening, and balance work
• Document progress clearly and timely in the medical record to support continuity of care
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehab team members to achieve patient-centered goals
• Educate patients and families on home programs and safety strategies to maximize outcomes
• Measure outcomes, adjust treatment plans, and celebrate patient milestones with the team

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in Maryland (required)
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program; DPT preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Strong clinical reasoning and patient communication skills
• Experience in inpatient rehabilitation or outpatient rehab is preferred but motivated new grads are welcome to apply
• Ability to work a regular daytime schedule with occasional weekend rotation

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in evaluating mobility, balance, strength, and functional limitations
• Proficient with therapeutic exercise, manual techniques, gait training, and assistive device training
• Comfortable with documentation in electronic health record systems
• Knowledge of discharge planning and interdisciplinary care coordination
• Strong patient education and motivational skills
