Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate communication and swallowing function using evidence-based assessment tools
• Develop individualized treatment plans that set clear, measurable goals
• Provide skilled therapy interventions and adjust plans based on progress
• Document timely, accurate notes and maintain thorough patient records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families with practical strategies to support carryover
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment

Qualifications

• Valid Virginia license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred or working toward certification
• Experience in outpatient or rehabilitation settings preferred
• Strong clinical reasoning, organization, and documentation skills
• Ability to work Monday through Friday day shifts and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in assessment and treatment of speech, language, cognition, and swallowing disorders
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to educate patients and families effectively
• Comfortable with clinical documentation and electronic health record systems
• Ability to prioritize caseload and manage time efficiently
• Familiarity with therapy best practices and outcome measurement
