Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess communication and swallowing disorders using evidence-based tools and clinical judgment
• Develop individualized treatment plans that set clear goals and track measurable progress
• Deliver direct therapy to children and/or adults with speech, language, cognitive-communication, or dysphagia needs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and caregivers to coordinate care and achieve best outcomes
• Document evaluations, treatment plans and progress notes in a timely and professional manner
• Provide education and training to patients, families, and staff on communication strategies and carryover techniques

Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible for Speech-Language Pathology licensure in Tennessee
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Active professional liability insurance or ability to obtain it
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Previous clinical experience as an SLP preferred; new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome to apply
• Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and intervention skills across pediatric and/or adult populations
• Knowledge of dysphagia management and safe swallowing techniques
• Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies
• Ability to create functional, family-centered treatment plans
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and documenting clinical outcomes
