Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients' functional abilities and occupational needs to create meaningful treatment plans
• Develop and implement individualized therapy programs to improve daily living skills
• Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions, adaptive equipment recommendations, and environmental modifications
• Document patient progress clearly and promptly to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and family to support holistic rehabilitation goals
• Educate patients and caregivers on home programs and strategies to maximize independence
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina Occupational Therapist license (required)
• NBCOT certification or OTR credentials preferred
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Clinical experience in pediatric, outpatient, or rehabilitation settings is a plus; new grads with strong clinical skills are encouraged to apply
• Excellent communication, assessment, and documentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Education

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (Bachelor's or Master's level; meet state licensure requirements)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of occupational therapy evaluation and treatment techniques
• Skilled in developing individualized treatment plans and documenting outcomes
• Familiarity with adaptive equipment and environmental modifications
• Comfortable with patient and family education to promote independence
• Ability to prioritize caseloads and manage time effectively
• Team-oriented mindset with solid interpersonal and communication skills
