Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' physical function and create personalized treatment plans
- Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions to improve mobility and independence
- Document patient progress clearly and timely in the medical record
- Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care
- Educate patients and families on home programs and injury prevention
- Monitor outcomes and adjust care plans to achieve measurable gains
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and best practices
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist in Georgia or eligible for licensure
- Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT preferred) or equivalent
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain)
- Experience in skilled nursing, inpatient rehab, or long-term care is a plus
- Strong clinical reasoning, documentation skills, and teamwork mindset
Education
- Doctorate or Master's/Bachelor's in Physical Therapy or related field (DPT preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in therapeutic exercise, gait training, and manual techniques
- Knowledgeable about mobility aids, transfers, and fall prevention
- Comfortable with clinical documentation and electronic medical records
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
